Trading & Selling
Trade Tutor do’s and don’ts
The information here serves as guidelines to utilizing Trade Tutor most effectively. If anything is unclear consult the FAQ section or contact the administrator.
For both sales and trades ensure that what you WANT is clear as well as what you HAVE to offer.

Your wants and haves can be updated on your profile.

Curate and update your deckbox link regularly and after each trade to ensure the accuracy of its contents for future trades.

On your user profile note your general preference of trading, selling or both, as well as the preferred market (TCG, SCG, KC, MTGGF, CFB, ABU, etc) and the conversion rate.

Where a locked trade needs to be cancelled be clear and concise – do note: this is poor etiquette and will reflect poorly on you and your rating. Communicate before cancelling – don’t just cancel it, ensure that the other party is aware and has responded.
  • Good TCG Trade Practices
  • Communication as in Magic: The Gathering and in life is crucial.
Ensure all parties are on the same page and clear up any and all ambiguity that arises before committing to a trade (market preference, conversion rate, courier, insurance, packaging, etc).
  • Respond to messages and inquiries of the other parties in a timely manner.
  • Decline a trade sooner than later, provide feedback as you see fit.
  • After completing a trade/sale rate the other party. Provide objective feedback for future trades.
  • Bad TCG Trade Practices
  • Do not commit to a trade if you do not intend to follow through.
Cancelling a trade due to value(s) of one or more cards going down is unacceptable. When committing to trade, the values of the cards(or agreed upon price) of (one or) both parties is set – the moment the trade is locked in.
  • Do not waste the time of other users.
  • Do not spam or abuse the messaging service – do not harass other users in any way.
  • Do not share links of content that is not MTG related on the messaging system
  • Do not misrepresent or deceive in any way.
